Manufacturing Site HR Leader - Germany

ROLE FILLED - HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OFFER

This global company continues to expand its business across Europe and is continuing to upgrade HR capabilities to aid in these growth plans. Subsequently, we’re seeking an ambitious HR leader to take on full functional accountability for a significant manufacturing workforce in the Bavaria region of Germany. 

A complete audit and likely overhaul of the entire HR service model should be expected, as part of scaling up and modernising HR frameworks to help the site meet key growth objectives.  With peers facing similar challenges at other company production sites around the world, there will be plenty of options to consult and exchange ideas with, whilst leveraging resources and economies of scale.

 Immediate projects to be owned by this leader include:

  •  Maintaining effective stakeholder relationships based on partnership and proactivity.

  •  Leadership development and coaching for all levels of management at this location given the range of existing tenure and skills.

  •  Deployment and support of continuous improvement initiatives covering technology, manufacturing equipment and people investment (an understanding of Lean / Kaizen / Six Sigma methodologies would be beneficial).

  •  Alignment of local HR processes with international HR strategy (whilst also being a direct contributor to the wider commercial HR strategy for the company).

  •  Workforce planning optimisation to maximise productivity, manage succession plans, and create effective knowledge transfer and pension management.

  •  Creation of a long-term Talent Acquisition and Management strategy to recruit and retain employees.

This person will be a key member of the local management team in this high profile role, that will require at least twice weekly visits to key sites in the Bavaria area. Relocation support is on offer as part of the package for current EU citizens who offer fluent English and German language skills.

With a base salary from EUR 110,000 (potential to increase depending on experience level) plus benefits, this role does require advanced knowledge of German employment law. An ambitious professional will have genuine opportunities for ongoing career development, progression and potentially increased regional scope responsibilities.
