This is a newly created role - ongoing company growth has created a need for HR team investment. Your focus will be on managing the full day-to-day HR agenda for a key company division, within this well-resourced company who are expanding into new markets.

You’ll be supporting a well educated and niche skilled workforce, of which some will never have experienced great HR support before. So you’ll need to enjoy being the trusted advisor, and educating advocate of HR services with what we expect will be some demanding stakeholders.

You’ll be partnering with an inspiring CHRO, and a recently appointed regional Managing Director - the latter is seeking an effective sparring partner, coach, and a “go to” expert, especially as he has high appetite for HR interventions.

We are seeking an HR professional with strong all-round generalist skills and a flair for proactive business partnerships.  Significant expansion is planned for this site, so this HR leader will be relied upon heavily to help with scaling up existing HR frameworks.

There is no shortage of variety in the day to day workload with priorities including:

  • Maintaining effective workforce relationships based on partnership and proactivity

  • Deployment and support of HR technologies to reduce administration and tactical work

  • Alignment of local HR processes with international HR strategy (you will also be expected to contribute to the wider commercial HR strategy for the company).

  • Workforce planning to maximise productivity and international work secondments

  • Contribution to a long term Talent agenda (further growth cannot happen without hiring additional employees and investing in their professional development and career pathways)

  • Ownership of employee wellbeing programs and ongoing development of tools that add to the employee value proposition

  • Development and coaching for all levels of staff, and the mentoring and line management of a current HR Manager in the region

  • Collation of data and preparation of analytics to enable informed business decision making

  • Managing day-to-day queries and oversight of payroll accuracy - (you just know you cannot hide from the paperwork!)

This HR leader should be prepared to be a visible presence on site – relationship building is paramount and the business leaders want these persons to be key contributors in supporting their management teams and workforces. As a result, our hiring execs are keen to secure an ambitious professional who is based within the Stuttgart area of Germany, and who can undertake planned travel into Switzerland, and into other parts of Europe as the region expands. This is not a fully remote work arrangement, although some flex for office vs home working is possible.

An ambitious professional will have opportunities to “bolt on” additional international geographical responsibilities as part of a career development plan.

Package includes a base salary of circa EUR 110,000 (depending on experience level) plus a generous annual performance bonus and exceptional healthcare benefits. Relocation support is also available for current EU citizens.
