EMEA HR Director with strong business transformation

Primary specialism: Business Partner with change/organisational development expertise

Markets with deep expertise: I have spanned the EMEA region in my role as HR Director and have particularly deep expertise for the UK, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Languages : Fluent English and Spanish

Salary expectations: From equivalent EUR 150,000 base salary plus package.

Workforce types directly supported: My daily interactions are with national and regional management teams, and workforces spanning commercial, service & support, supply chain and corporate functions. I can easily adapt myself to all levels in the organization.

Current home country: Spain, but I can work in all EU countries and also in the UK (I have settled status so no sponsorship is needed). My preference is to be based in London but am also open to other EU cities.

Team management: Team management is one of my greatest strengths and I have managed teams of up to 12 direct reports with a total team size of 35 people. I have also worked with dotted line reports and with virtual teams, influencing them with no direct line manager authority. Regardless of whether I am directly managing others or not, my preference would be to work within a multicultural and diverse team.

Current/recent employer: Currently working as a freelancing consultant. Previous employer had annual revenues around EUR 25 million and 150,000 employees

Remits of particular interest: I am interested in a European or Global Head of HR role in a growing company that allows me to develop the HR strategies to support the company's growth through people development and coaching of the executive population to ensure success. I enjoy working with Executive Teams whilst delivering an international people & transformation / change agenda.

Unique expertise: 20+ years HR experience with a unique mix of operational, strategic, change management and coaching HR expertise. My interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills allow me to play a key role in all kind of situations and environments. Dealing with difficult interactions in a conciliative way, I build strong and trustful relations at all levels of the organization that allow me, when needed, to secure support or alignment.

Commerciality: Have been successful in driving the most significant European business transformation that my last employer has had in the last 20 years. Have been HR Leader and Chairman for Steering Committees in 3 main reorganizations spanning EMEA basis. Was the HR lead in each of the workstreams, responsible for the business case, internal communications, people impact, European Work Council, budgets, and Board targets.

My communication and interpersonal skils allow me to face any kind of situation, environment or personality, creating a positive and growth environment. I’m known as a positive team player, working with, by and for my team.
