European TA Leader to manage global projects - Bern, CH

ROLE FILLED - HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OFFER

This company has a track record of growth and sustainable profitability as a result of ongoing product development creating new market opportunities. With an agenda for sensible centralisation plus local market tailoring, they now need a TA expert to lead and inspire multi site teams plus thought leadership in how to deliver more proactive value to the company.

Reporting into a supportive and well respected global TA leader, this person needs to focus on bringing a consistency of TA service and hiring results across a mid sized regional TA team. Gathering and appropriately sharing data plus market intelligence, managing the avoidance of slippage on key metrics, broadening use of the tech stack, partnering more strongly with internal and external stakeholders, and driving curiosity and authenticity across the team - these are some of the many priorities for this leader.

Additionally, this person will focus on:

  • attracting and securing niche skilled talent from across Europe and the world for key roles within the UK and Switzerland

  • tweaking TA frameworks to enable diversity of talent pools

  • risk management for talent pipelines and succession planning

  • ensuring exceptional candidate experiences

  • tailoring global TA policy, process and tools to suit both the demands of regional stakeholders plus regulatory compliance in various geographies

  • working with global peers to ensure a “one company” experience for all stakeholders relying on the TA function to deliver the quality of hiring results that will continue to allow this mission-driven company to continue to be a market leader.

This role will particularly suit a TA professional who can offer solutions with reasoning and influence through facts and data, rather than the recruitment leader who is busy being busy on tasks and policy policing, without the ability for “future state” thinking.

Again, as with many companies experiencing extreme growth in addition to an HR transformation agenda, there is a need for this person to have a “jack of all trades” mindset - there will be no shortage of change, ambiguity, critical projects and “all hands to the pump” moments.

Ideally, this person will be based in Switzerland, with a hybrid work model allowing 80% work from home when not attending key company locations within Europe. We are mindful that the level of necessary engagement and sponsorship for change management will mean “water cooler” moments are particularly critical for the foreseeable future. Occasional (and planned in advance) cross continent travel is expected, so a current passport and full Covid vaccination status will be essential to gain access to countries with this requirement.

The “wish list” for hiring criteria is very reasonable, inclusive of:

  • Fluent German and English written and verbal language skills.

  • A history of leading TA teams and working as a trusted partner to HR teams

  • Advanced project management skills, potentially with formal project management methodology qualifications

  • A track record for successfully working through the complex matrix and reporting structures of a multinational company

  • Advanced commercial savvy with an ability to find solutions that match business needs

  • Courage to influence and stand your ground whilst demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence

  • Current EU or UK citizenship.

This high-profile role will attract a base salary starting from CHF 160,000 (depending on expertise level) plus a hefty performance bonus. Relocation support is on offer into Switzerland for persons holding current EU or UK citizenship. If the company continues on its growth trajectory, we expect many opportunities for this role to broaden further in scope and/or for this person to be moved to new regional locations.
