Regional ER Leader - Poland - above market base, bonus, relocation support & benefits package

HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER

We are seeking an exceptional, commercially-minded and ambitious Employee Relations specialist for high-profile career role with a highly-reputable, global brand.  We are also open to chatting with HR Generalists/HRBP’s who have extensive experience in this field and a passion to specialise as ER experts, and to legal practitioners who have a genuine interest to work within a HR function.

The role will be based in Warsaw, Poland and will support business and HR leaders across multiple jurisdictions in Central and Eastern Europe with a need for an unusually holistic view of Employee Relations, Diversity, Policy & Procedure and Employee Engagement.

Complex case management, proactive advice for change management programs, resolution of employee issues, minimisation of brand risk, negotiations with works councils/unions, and advice on risk for new markets opening & closing, are just some of the many responsibilities in this role.

A further element will be on helping to build capability and profile for the ER team, within a business-aligned and operationally effective Centre of Excellence that is already well regarded as “best practice” both internally and externally.

This person will report into a Global ER leader, with highly qualified and accomplished peers supporting other European geographies.

This leader should expect a lot of change, challenges and ambiguity as a result of various organisational design programs rolling through the company globally; but for the right person this will be an ideal time to join as you’ll be able capitalise on having significant strategic input in refining the function, creating policy and identifying solutions!

The role requires fluent written & spoken English, and ideally (but not essential) fluency in one of the Central or Eastern European country languages.  This person will have excellent knowledge of Employment Law for several European countries, inclusive of Poland, and a genuine interest in learning about other jurisdictions.  Travel will be around 25%, mostly CEE and Europe, but being a global company an annual trip to other continents should be expected with travel all on a planned basis.

Essentials for success:

  • A stable career history with tenure, working for large sized international corporations, with a track record of being able to successfully navigate through complex reporting lines

  • An analytical and enquiring mind-set

  • Data savvy; able to create processes, programmes and reporting tools to track, assess and review ER issues & cases as well as costs

  • This role will have frequent interaction with different stakeholders and works council representatives, so you'll need to be commercially savvy, have strong negotiation skills, be both consultative and advisory in approach, and able to promote your message in concise and relevant terms

  • Gravitas, and an ability to finesse personalities and know how to influence and stand your ground

  • You will be known as a thought leader - able to challenge the status quo and innovate new process and solutions to achieve market leading result.

  • There are genuine career development prospects with this employer, particularly if you are globally mobile

If this sounds like the challenge you've been seeking for your next career move, please do make contact today.   An above market annual base salary starting from 240,000 PLN will be paid for this ideally Warsaw based role, along with an annual performance bonus, and whilst a domestic package will apply, the benefits are hefty.  Full relocation support is on offer for EU citizens, and we’re seeking to extend an employment offer within the coming weeks.
