HR Manager - Healthcare sector - France work base

This person will focus on managing the full HR agenda on a key site for manufacturing plus R&D workforces, in the beautiful Dijon region of France.  We are seeking an HR leader with strong all-round generalist skills and a flair for business partnerships.  Significant expansion is planned for this site, so this HR leader will be relied upon heavily to help with adding to workforce numbers and scaling up existing HR frameworks. There are other production sites also within Europe so this person will have peers to consult and exchange ideas with.

There is no shortage of additional projects to be worked through including:

  • Maintaining effective union relationships based on partnership and proactivity.

  • Deployment and support of continuous improvement initiatives covering technology, manufacturing equipment and people investment (an understanding of Lean / Kaizen / Six Sigma methodologies would be beneficial)

  • Alignment of local HR processes with international HR strategy (you will also be expected to contribute to the wider commercial HR strategy for the company).

  • Workforce planning optimisation to maximise productivity, manage succession plans, and create effective knowledge transfer and pension management.

  • Creation of a long term Talent Acquisition and Management strategy (further growth cannot happen without hiring additional employees and investing in their professional development and career pathways)

  • Leadership development and coaching for all levels of management at this location, with a range of tenure and skills

This HR Leader needs to be a visible presence on site – relationship building is paramount and the business leaders want this person to be a key contributor to their management team. As a result, our hiring execs are keen to secure a HR Manager who is based within the greater Dijon area - this is not a remote work arrangement.

Package includes a base salary from EUR 80,000 (potential to increase depending on experience level) plus benefits. Relocation support is also available within France for current EU citizens.  Advanced knowledge of French employment laws is essential as are fluent English and French language skills.
