Remits of particular interest: A global remit on total rewards, HR Policies and Process. Of particular interest are 'greenfield' or 'blank paper' roles which envisage building the entire Global Reward value chain, including other functional HR processes. A role which has an ambiguous agenda and expectations – where something has to be done, but no one seems to be sure of what they want. Partnering with the CEO for establishing a business vision for HR and follow through with setting up everything from a scratch - where either no standard policies or processes exist, or exist in a disjointed manner.

Commerciality: Researched and delivered a new reward system which enabled the organization to save costs substantially in hiring employees and assigning them projects overseas. Convinced Management of the need to change and developed consensus with the executive group. Published and sold the new corporate policy to local country management. Trained local country Reward Managers and centralized hiring hubs to use the new system. Lead time to identify, select and hire candidates reduced from an average of 20 days to just 5 days. Reduction in international assignment costs by nearly 30% due to standardization of policies and processes. This also allowed accurate and instant ‘real time’ Project manpower cost estimation
