HR Leader - Germany - numerous projects with full site responsibilities

If you’re the kind of HR leader who enjoys the variety of working a full generalist role, who can impress quickly as a credible HR expert, and who is passionate about the contribution HR can make to achieving business objectives – this role could be perfect for you. You would be working for one of our favourite employers - we know this global company well, having hired repeatedly for them to upgrade HR capabilities around the world, to help enable their continued growth plans.

This person will own the full HR agenda for at least one key manufacturing site based in the north of the country.  We are seeking a HR leader with strong all-round technical skills, with immediate priorities including HR team development and creating frameworks for company growth.

We are ideally seeking a professional who has interest in taking on increasing levels of responsibility.

There is no shortage of projects to be worked through inclusive of:

  • designing and effecting hiring strategies (further growth cannot happen without additional employees)

  • training and coaching business leaders (range of tenure and leadership skills)

  • working with a HR Shared Services team to ensure accurate payroll (plus reporting & general administration)

  • managing workforce planning, knowledge transfer strategies and pension management for an aging workforce

  • building further engagement across the workforce

  • HR team training and development

  • organisational design to maximise productivity

  • building a positive working relationship with a Works Council who’ve not had the chance to work with proactive HR business partners historically

Additionally this person will be invited to contribute to other regional and internationals projects - the HR function global has no shortage of improvements they wish to make!

This role should particularly interest the HR professional with an advanced understanding of LEAN, Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies - this particular site is leading the way in ramping up their investment in technology and machinery currently.

Importantly this HR Manager needs to be a visible presence - able to quickly and assertively engage with the wider business to show the true value that HR can add. We are looking for someone with the appetite to focus on solutions rather than problems and who brings a level of professionalism, energy, and inspiration to others.

Package includes base salary circa EUR 120,000 (depending on experience level) plus benefits package. Advanced knowledge of German employment legislation is essential as are fluent English and German language skills.
