HR Manager - Netherlands - full HR generalist scope
Are you an HR professional who sees opportunity where others see process? Are you energised by the challenge of building better, smarter ways of working? Do you thrive in dynamic international environments, and enjoy combining commercial insight with a passion for continuous improvement to create real and lasting business impact?
We are seeking this type of HR professional to take on full functional accountability for a key R&D site in the beautiful Overijssel region of the Netherlands. Re-evaluating and reimagining the entire HR service model should be expected as part of scaling up and modernising HR frameworks to help the site meet its key growth objectives.
Immediate priorities for this leader include:
Acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for progressive, business-enabling HR practices while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships built on partnership and proactivity.
Aligning local HR processes with international HR strategy.
Optimising workforce planning to maximise productivity, manage succession plans, and ensure effective knowledge transfer and pension management.
Creating a long-term Talent Acquisition and Talent Management strategy to recruit and retain employees.
Providing leadership development and coaching for all levels of management at the site, given the wide range of existing tenure and skills.
The regional business leaders want this HR professional to be a key contributor to their management team and a visible presence on site. As a result, our hiring executives are keen to secure an HR leader seeking a 100% onsite working arrangement within the greater Apeldoorn area and relocation support is available as part of the package for EU citizens with fluent English and Dutch language skills.
With a base salary starting from EUR 90,000 (with potential to increase depending on experience) plus benefits, this role requires advanced knowledge of Dutch employment law. There is also a very strong preference for someone who has directly supported scientific, technical, or engineering workforces, now or in the past.
An ambitious professional will have genuine opportunities for ongoing career development, progression, and potentially increased regional responsibilities.
If you are ready to take on a pivotal HR role in a growing and evolving business, we would love to hear from you. Interviews are being scheduled now, with an employment offer expected to be extended in the coming weeks.
