Senior HR Business Partner - Devon, UK
Based in Devon, this role offers the chance to step away from the pace and pressure of city living while remaining at the centre of a global business. Relocation support available.
We’re partnering with a global, mission driven organisation whose work is genuinely changing and saving lives.
We’re seeking an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment – someone who enjoys driving continuous improvement, challenging the status-quo, and finding smarter ways to deliver commercial value through people.
You’ll work closely with operational leaders across multiple UK manufacturing sites, helping to shape culture, build leadership capability, and enable the business to achieve its ambitions through its people.
As a trusted HR Business Partner, you’ll advise senior leaders across a broad range of people matters, including organisational change, workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development and employee relations. You’ll have the autonomy to influence decisions, challenge thinking, and deliver practical, commercially focused HR solutions that make a measurable business impact.
You’ll be highly visible across the organisation, building strong relationships, coaching leaders, and using data and insight to anticipate challenges, reduce risk, and improve performance. Whether supporting transformation activity or developing future capability, you’ll play a key role in building an engaged, high-performing workforce.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Building trusted partnerships with senior operational leaders, providing commercially focused HR advice and guidance.
· Coaching and developing managers, enabling them to lead confidently through change, performance, and employee relations challenges.
· Supporting organisational change initiatives, ensuring people remain engaged and business objectives are successfully delivered.
· Partnering with leaders to develop workforce plans that meet both current operational needs and future business growth.
· Using people data and insight to identify trends, influence decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
· Working collaboratively with Centres of Excellence to deliver integrated solutions across talent, learning, reward and employee relations.
About You
You’ll already have experience partnering with leaders within a manufacturing or operational environment and understand the pace, complexity and commercial demands that come with supporting frontline businesses.
Pragmatic, credible and collaborative, you’ll be equally comfortable influencing senior stakeholders as you are spending time on-site with managers and employees. You’ll enjoy solving problems, challenging constructively and helping leaders achieve better business outcomes through their people.
A stable career history, with proven success operating in international, matrixed environments (apologies but career contractors cannot be considered for this hire.)
Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
A proven ability to coach, influence and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience supporting organisational change, leadership development and employee engagement initiatives.
Commercial awareness, with the ability to connect people decisions to wider business performance.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach, using data and insight to identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience supporting multiple sites would be advantageous, although not essential.
Package includes a base salary from £80,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience level), plus benefits and performance bonus.
This is a predominantly site-based role with regular, planned travel across UK locations.
If you’re looking for a role that combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational impact within a dynamic manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you.
