Talent Acquisition Specialist – 6 Month FTC
This career role is for one of our favourite “mission-driven” companies that is literally helping to save lives around the world. They’ve invested heavily in research and product development which has resulted in impressive market success and rapid company growth.
With a period of change on the agenda, we’re seeking a well-rounded talent acquisition professional who will help the company to continue to attract and engage niche, skilled, senior, scientifically minded workforces to meet a period of high demand. This TA leader will bring expertise to manage the full recruitment lifecycle for their own hiring requisitions, whilst being a strategic expert and “go to” partner for an array of stakeholders inclusive of Business Executives and their leadership teams, along with HR leaders globally. Reporting directly to the Global Head of TA, the role demands a practical, hands-on mindset and a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves as the team navigates a transitional phase.
The existing TA team have some reasonably good process and tools for day-to-day service delivery and a cultural DNA that has enabled an unusually diverse workforce. However, with an increasing scarcity of niche skilled, globally scarce, specialist candidates, we need a experienced TA professional to innovate on more pro-active, creative, and resourceful solutions to meet the demands of the business.
We have a “wish list” of expertise required from this person given the high-profile nature of this role, inclusive of:
Extensive knowledge of recruiting R&D and scientific workforces within the pharmaceutical/ life sciences sector is essential.
A proven background in sourcing and hiring across multiple countries will be ideal to be able to advise first-hand on cultural nuances and local market considerations.
Historically delivered the full life of senior-level searches, including talent mapping and market research.
Advanced English will be essential for both written and verbal presentations to executive-level leaders.
High comfort with data - the executive stakeholders are all keen for factual analysis to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more, so your numeracy and analytics skills will need to be exceptional.
Ability to navigate successfully through a complex matrix environment with high levels of ambiguity.
We have some flexibility to base this role within the UK, with preference for those in London/ Home Counties, and the North West of the UK. A base salary equivalent of up to £140,000pa on an initial 6-month FTC.
Interviews are being scheduled, with the aim of appointing a suitable professional as soon as possible. TA professionals should therefore be available to start at short notice.
