HR Technology Leader

This organisation develops products that literally help to save and improve lives around the world.  The company has been through a prolonged period of growth, achieved through both  organic markets expansion plus acquisitions; and is now needing to achieve operational efficiencies through process streamlining, duplication reductions, and improving plus harmonisation technology applications.

An immediate priority is to evolve and modernize the many components of HR technology architecture across the organisation, creating this role for an HR specialist to shape and execute the enterprise HR IT strategy. Leading a small team, this person will own the HR technology agenda from end-to-end, ensuring systems are scalable and secure whilst delivering consistent employee experiences, and driving innovation through automation, AI, analytics, and enhanced digital capabilities.

This role will particularly suit the HR systems expert who can think about current AND future technology architecture needs, and who can anticipate and “troubleshoot” issues spanning implementation, utilisation and legislative impacts across existing and planned technology solutions.

This will be a particularly interesting role for the professional who has deep understanding for the capabilities of systems, programs and apps, and a natural  curiosity for “what’s next” in technology innovations.

Our successful leader will likely offer:

  • Proven experience in HR IT strategy, architecture, and vendor management in a global, regulated, matrixed environment

  • Strong HR knowledge and experience leading enterprise-wide technology transformation programmes

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide enterprise-level technology decision making

  • Solid expertise in an array of HRIS platforms, and multi-system integration

  • A history of being the “go-to” trusted advisor to an array of stakeholders, the proactive partner who anticipates demand and risk, and the professional who remains calm, thoughtful and focussed on delivering tangible results despite organisational upheaval

  • Commercial acumen along with credible leadership presence, and the ability to deal with “yesterday” as the constant deadline expectation!

  • Working with a “can do” solutions oriented company culture

  • A track record for influencing through data and factual reasoning, rather than emotional without evidence

  • Executive level communication skills, both written and verbal

Additional considerations:

We have worked with this organization repeatedly as they’ve grown over the years and can vouch for high-performance leaders across the HR function being given “stretch” projects, formal development opportunities, and promotions based on merit rather than tenure.

Given the location of key partners, this person will ideally be located within a commutable distance to one of the organization’s East Coast locations, and should expect regular (but well-planned travel) across the United States and internationally. Relocation within the U.S. will be considered; however, international work visa sponsorship is not available. Also unfortunately, career contractors will not be considered at this time.

The role offers a competitive package, with a base salary of circa US$250,000 plus STIP, LTIP and an array of useful benefits.

Interviews are being scheduled quickly with a view to an employment offer being extended in coming weeks.
