Global Talent Acquisition Leader - heavy talent agenda - MN (USA) base circa $180,000 base plus package

HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER

This is a new hire for a reputable company that has enjoyed significant commercial success. Executive appetite for the talent agenda at this point in the company’s maturity has increased investment into the HR function, which has resulted in the creation of this global role.

To date, the TA team have relied on enthusiasm and willingness for action, to attract talent into the company - but with circa 3,500 hires now being effected annually across 3 keys regions (Europe, AsiaPac, Americas) this “just work harder” approach needs to be refined to a TA offering that is more thoughtful, systematic, and scaleable.

This leader will manage a team of 20 who are scattered around the world and who are of varying levels of capability. Mentoring, developing, setting performance expectations , and potential realignment of the team are all key priorities.

This leader will be partnering with a global Talent Management VP and the CHRO, along with an array of business executives to revamp this “busy being busy” TA function to one that offers improved delivery on time and quality of hires, pro active talent pipe-lining, employer brand enhancement, and diversity of hires. Thought leadership on the entire approach to talent acquisition, and alignment of the TA function to the business agenda is another critical priority.

This leader is expected to be a pro active TA business partner - keeping stakeholders up to date not just on current vacancies, but with data analysis and interpretation of market trends, talent demand, reward competitiveness, and risk assessments for talent availability in new markets for the company.

This role will be all encompassing needing a leader who is a “subject matter expert” for all things pertaining to talent acquisition. You will also need to establish a consistency for great candidate experiences with robust process and standards, to assist the company in being an “employer of choice” and successful within their very competitive market. You will be encouraged to be creative, innovative and agile; and to apply all of your expertise in talent acquisition in a broad ranging capacity.

A work history within the TA function of a large global corporation would be useful to have learnt what great TA looks like and ideally, you’ll also understand the pressures of a dynamic company that operates with both B2B and B2C customers.

Our hiring executives have particular interest in TA experts who have stable work histories showing repeated development and promotion within previous employers, and who aren’t afraid to try new ideas to stay “ahead of the curve”. They’re also keen to secure a TA leader with proven “commercial nous” - some of their service lines have low profit margins and you’ll need to be creative in how to achieve results rather than simply forging ahead with no financial accountability.

Given the location of key executives, this international role will ideally be based from Minneapolis, with a competitive salary and package in exchange for your international expertise. Relocation support is available as required within the USA.

You will need to attend meetings with key stakeholders both within the USA and in other geographies globally so a current passport and a willingness to travel regularly will be essential! A current US work visa and/or citizenship will be essential - there is no visa sponsorship or expat package available for this hire.
