Strategic Talent Acquisition Director - San Francisco, California - from $200,000 + STIP & LTIP & relocation support

This role will be a key member of the company’s Global Talent leadership team, focussed on delivering more strategic and innovative ways to attract niche skilled and globally scarce talent.  This person will be accountable for the design and implementation of an array of global initiatives, to provide ‘best in class’ stakeholder and candidate experience, while demonstrating market competitive ROI.

With an agile approach to TA innovation, and exceptional project management skills, this person will have key responsibilities for managing the employee value proposition (EVP), design of conference and innovation days, building and engaging talent communities for senior/critical hires, executive recruitment, inclusion and diversity and early talent programs.

Leading a brand new team with core specialist expertise; this person will be developing a dedicated CofE to support succession plans for key talent, and enable the scarce & critical skill hiring agenda across the organisation.

With a ‘white glove concierge’ service offering, this person will be accountable for delivery on a caseload that sits outside of the day to day recruitment requirements which will be effected by peers aligned to specific business units.

This person’s experience will include a history of:

  • Leading and inspiring high-performing teams

  • Ability to “get up to speed quickly”, understand the business needs and the activity necessary to best support long-term objectives, whilst working through immature (or sometimes non-existent frameworks and ambiguity)

  • Consistent success in shaping, influencing and informing key stakeholders on objectives and benefits of the agreed TA model and service approach, whilst effectively managing expectations

  • Experience of driving accountability, relationships and results of external suppliers

  • Creating and implementing effective talent acquisition strategies through analysing and understanding key insights and designing frameworks to solve complex business problems

  • Experience of working on longer-term, more strategic and innovative TA approaches and a clear demonstration of ROI using data and metrics to support approach and measure success

  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical sector or other similarly regulated sectors facing global talent shortage issues, will be a distinct advantage. 

  • Global markets experience will be essential, as will be exceptional people leadership and collaboration skills.

  • Ongoing investment in professional development since completing at least a Bachelor's degree

  • A stable, salaried career history within reputable, complex matrix, multinational employers.

 

This role will be based from San Francisco, California; with planned travel expected both nationally and internationally. 

Salary base from $200,000 plus STIP, LTIP and a package reflective of the West Coast costs of living will be on offer, as will generous relocation support should a move be required.  This hire is available to US citizens and professionals who have immediate eligibility for a US work visa.
