European HR Associate Director - Germany

HR leaders to aid in the setup of a European function for this double digit growth tech company, fluent English/German essential, German work base, potential for increasing role bandwidth in a matter of months from commencement!

Remit challenge: Working directly with a newly appointed HR Director and key business execs, these people would support the build and implementation of HR infrastructure to enable accelerated levels of company growth driven by acquisition and new product launches.

Hiring Challenges: Finding exceptional HR professionals who could demonstrate a genuine strategic mindset is always a challenge within this particular market, and there was no stretch to expand the salary & package to attract more senior talent. We were also targeting professionals who had predictable future growth potential given the likelihood of the remit expanding quickly. Our hiring execs were also keen to secure HR leaders who had experience within large, complex matrix US organisations; in developing and implementing successful, commercial HR frameworks; and who could evidence a willingness to turn their hand to anything required to get things done to support this rapidly expanding workforce.

Solution: Required an extensive search across Germany and the Euro-zone to isolate those mid and senior level HR managers with strong career ambitions and a “can-do” attitude.  Our recommended candidates were interviewing directly with our hiring execs, within 3 weeks of sharing their brief with us. We successfully secured three HR Managers to work across different lines of business, all of whom have strong HR backgrounds in the tech sector. All had a track record of being high potential within previous employers, and that status has been awarded to them in this new company as well.
