Research & Development TA Manager - from USD 180,000 plus hefty bonus & benefits package

HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER

Keen to take the next step in your career and develop your team management skills? This is a unique chance to “step up” and apply your interest in coaching and mentoring others, to take on a formal leadership role.

We’re seeking a professional who will be leading and inspiring a team of R&D talent acquisition specialists, for a company experiencing impressive growth. In addition to managing your own small rec load, there will be plenty of opportunity for strategic input, ranging from maximising RPO support for sourcing, developing graduate entry programs, and building on the employer brand within experienced and executive hires, whilst ensuring diversity of talent pools.  Key internal stakeholders will be Business Executives and their leadership teams, along with HR leaders within the USA and abroad.

There is an appetite to take the TA function beyond being simply an effective recruitment service and we’ve seen significant investment in TA tools, resource and infrastructure in recent months.  Currently the team have reasonably good process and frameworks for day to day service delivery.  However, with an increasing scarcity of niche skilled, globally scarce, R&D specialist candidates, we need a holistically minded TA manager who can innovate on more pro-active, creative and resourceful solutions for finding, engaging and securing talent.

Thought leadership will be welcomed to improve upon the utilisation of tech, social media, AI, networks, referrals, employer branding, and "candidate experience".  The executive stakeholders are all keen to utilise quality data to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more; so this person will need to be comfortable with analytics.

Advanced English will be essential for both written and verbal presentations to Executive level leaders; and attention to detail, will need to be exceptional.  Given the PhD community within this key workforce, a reputable university degree plus other tertiary education qualifications will be well regarded.  A TA professional who has historically worked within a recruitment agency or RPO setting, in addition to data driven in-house environments would be very comfortable in this kind of company culture - the executive stakeholders are all keen for factual analysis to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more, so your numeracy and analytics skills will need to be exceptional.

Whilst international markets experience is not mandatory, it will be useful.  Direct TA experience within R&D in a science driven organisation will be extremely useful to gain traction and credibility with key stakeholders quickly.

Given the location of key business executives, this role will need to be based exclusively within the San Francisco region to ensure those "water cooler" moments are experienced daily!

Salary and package is reflective of the cost of living in the Bay area, with above-market  relocation support (including an extended period of considerable rental or mortgage subsidy), exceptional annual bonus potential and LTIP awards, and financial consideration to avoid loss on any accrued performance bonuses and / or LTIP vesting values.

This will be a particularly interesting career role for an ambitious TA professional who is keen to develop to Director/VP level, and additional career development options will be available to specialists who have an interest in working abroad.

This hire is available to US citizens and professionals who have immediate eligibility for a US work visa.

Interested TA specialists with R&D expertise can apply directly and in confidence via solutions@cartermorris.com; and quoting reference CMTS00200
