Regional HR leader – Dubai - create and build a HR function in a brand new market.
This greenfield role within this fast paced start up is a direct result of the significant market growth the organisation has achieved since its inception - from one employee to thousands in just six years! As part of an ongoing and aggressive market expansion plan, we now need a Regional HR Leader to own the people agenda across the Middle East. Partnering directly with global corporate executives, this person will be a key member of this high profile leadership team.
Immediate priorities for this role include building regional HR frameworks, ensuring fluidity to scale for rapidly increasing employee numbers. Organisational frameworks and structures need to be built up and embedded and an ethos of pro-activity and international vision need to be established from the get-go. As well as driving the hiring of high performing talent, this person will be the “subject matter expert” for employment compliance, benefits, leadership coaching, employee engagement, training, development, and so much more.
This HR leader needs to be creative, agile and incredibly proactive with the ability to define and design regional strategies whilst remaining involved in grass roots HR. We need someone who thinks laterally, is passionate about realising opportunities and is excited by the prospect of every day genuinely being different. This person will have direct ownership for building process and frameworks that enable employees and leadership teams to be successful in achieving exceptional business results.
We have an extensive “wish list” of hiring criteria for this role, but at a minimum we are seeking a professional who offers:
a work history as an HR leader within a large but agile global corporation with “best practice” HR frameworks
direct experience with the pressures of a rapidly expanding start up organisation.
senior Director/VP level expertise who has built, and inspired HR teams from the ground up.
proven creativity in HR management that enables (rather than hampers) business success
extensive examples of achieving sustainable results despite ambiguity and the pace of rapid company growth
first hand experience of the nuances of countries and cultures within the Middle East region
A stable, salaried work history will be expected - apologies but career contractors will not be considered at this time.
A competitive salary and package is on offer, and our hiring execs have an appetite for a HR leader who has lived outside of his/her home country as part of an international HR career. English is the company language, for this role based in Dubai, UAE. There will be an ongoing need to attend meetings in the USA from time to time and potentially other locations globally so a current passport and an ability to readily travel at short notice will be essential!
