Regional HR leader – New Delhi - chance to create and build within a multinational setting
This is a new role within a well-resourced company that has enjoyed significant expansion since its inception - from one person originally to many thousands in just six years of operation! As part of this growth, we now need a Regional HR Leader to own the people agenda across India and South East Asia - a workforce of circa 7,000 people and growing! This person will partner directly with corporate executives and teams based within local countries and around the world; to enable rapid company growth being driven by diversification of product lines and the opening of new country markets.
Immediate priorities for this role include setting up an HR function across the region that can flex to accommodate rapidly increasing employee number; to further define the organisational structure; establishing a “can do” international culture; and to help manage the hiring and development of high performance talent to further expand the country leadership and operations teams. This person will also need to be the “subject matter expert” for employment compliance, benefits, leadership coaching, employee engagement, training and development, and so much more.
This HR leader will have the scope to be creative, innovative and agile; and to apply expertise in people management and development. This person will have direct ownership for building process and frameworks that enable employees and leadership teams to be successful in achieving exceptional business results.
This is a critical and high profile role within an international team of HR professionals, offering frequent opportunities to share best practice and learn from others’ experiences.
We have an extensive “wish list” of hiring criteria for this role, but at a minimum, a work history as an HR leader within a large global corporation would be useful to have learnt what great HR looks like. ideally this person will also have direct experience with the pressures of a rapidly expanding start up organisation. This person will be keen to try new and creative approaches to HR management, and will be used to working within ambiguity and high pace! A stable salaried work history will be expected - apologies but career contractors will not be considered at this time.
This role will be based in the New Delhi area of India, with a competitive salary and package for Indian nationals - relocation support into or within India is available as required. There is an ongoing need to attend meetings in the USA from time to time and potentially other locations globally so a current passport will be essential!
